Rince Institute: Structure and Organisation
The Rince Institute is structured as an overarching institute framework within which researchers are affiliated first with specialist groups or laboratories, and these in turn are organised into a smaller number of integrated, larger scale, research centres. Within this framework, research specialisms continue to evolve on an ongoing basis, according to strategic goals and societal priorities. At any given time there are also typically a number of emerging or developing groups, which may not yet be associated with a specific larger scale centre. The current structure is as follows:
- Centre for Image Processing and Analysis (CIPA)
- Centre for High Speed Devices and Systems (HSDS)
- Radio and Optical Communications Laboratory
- Nanomaterials Processing Laboratory
- RF Modelling and Simulation Group
- Network Innovations Centre (NIC)
- Switching and Systems
- Performance Engineering Laboratory
- Network Processing Group
- RF Modelling and Simulation Group
- Emerging/Developing Research Areas
